Animation Log 03

Ball animation

In this animation practice, I attempted to replicate the motion of a pendulum. Reflecting on the process, I realize that utilizing a physics simulator would have yielded more accurate results. Despite this, the experience was invaluable as it provided me with several key learnings.

What I learned:

  • The importance of using physics simulators for accurate motion depiction.
  • Techniques for animating pendulum movements manually.
  • Improved understanding of pendulum dynamics and oscillatory motion.
  • Challenges in achieving realistic physics-based animation without simulation tools.
  • Skills in troubleshooting and refining animation techniques.

This practice has enhanced my appreciation for the complexities of simulating real-world physics in animation. Moving forward, I aim to integrate physics simulation tools into my workflow to achieve more precise and lifelike animations.
