Animation log 12

Princess zelda character animation

For this animation practice, I revisited the fundamentals by animating a walk cycle. This session provided valuable insight into core animation principles, although I encountered several challenges, particularly with more intricate parts of the character’s movement.

What I Learned:

  • Revisited basic body mechanics through a walk cycle.
  • Gained a deeper understanding of character movement fundamentals.

Problems Encountered:

  • Polishing the splines was tedious and time-consuming.
  • Animating the wrists and fingers proved to be especially difficult due to the precision required for small, intricate motions.

Overall, this practice helped reinforce essential animation principles. Despite the challenges, it highlighted the importance of refining small details for more natural, realistic movements. I’m encouraged to continue practicing and improving my technique, especially in polishing animations and handling complex movements like finger and wrist actions.
