Animation log 07
Stick figure animation
In this animation practice, I started by creating a storyboard before proceeding to the animation phase. However, I found myself deviating from the storyboard as I realized there were missing elements in my animations, particularly regarding body mechanics. Despite this, the exercise was highly educational, providing valuable insights into the importance of storyboarding and the nuances of body mechanics.
What I learned:
- The value of storyboarding in visualizing and planning animations.
- Techniques for improving body mechanics in character animation.
- The importance of flexibility and adaptability during the animation process.
- Enhanced skills in identifying and addressing animation deficiencies.
Problems Encountered:
- Difficulty in fully adhering to the initial storyboard.
- Realization of missing elements in body mechanics during the animation process.
- Challenges in balancing pre-planned storyboards with spontaneous adjustments.
Overall, this practice has significantly contributed to my understanding of the animation workflow. Moving forward, I plan to integrate storyboarding more effectively and focus on refining body mechanics to enhance the realism and fluidity of my animations.
