Animation log 05
Flour sack animation
In this animation practice, I focused on animating a walk cycle for a flour sack character using a diagonal camera view instead of employing two camera angles. Upon review, I noticed that the flour sack exhibited excessive hunching of its back during the walk cycle. Moving forward, I intend to study and correct this issue in future animation practices.
What I learned:
- Importance of maintaining balance and posture in character animation.
- Improved understanding of character anatomy and movement dynamics.
- Skills in identifying and addressing posture issues in character animation.
Problems Encountered:
- Excessive hunching of the flour sack’s back during the walk cycle.
This practice session has enhanced my ability to observe and refine character animations. In upcoming projects, I plan to apply these learnings to create more fluid and lifelike animations while exploring different camera angles for a more comprehensive view.
